This was the doll for which Pintel & Godchaux was best known, called Le Bébé Charmant, was made from 1889 to 1899 in France

This head is beautifully painted in April of 2013 though the engaving was done in 2011

This head features:Poured in finest Lady White porcelain with many layers of China paint applied meticulously with up to 6 firings in between

This is one of the hardest French dolls to paint with very long close together eyelashes. She has enormous eyes, giving her a very unique look among French Bébés

Very finest solid glass French Paperweight eyes in light blue color by Hand Glass Craft of England.

Earrings and matching necklace of Genuine Swarovski crystals and Swarovski glass pearls.

Her French composition body is made by Joyce’s Compo Bodies and will have either Jumeau or AT lower arms.
This gorgeous doll wears a very unique ONE OF A KIND confection, of, on-the-waist style dress and matching ruched bonnet, in pure silk satin fabric with wonderful, hard to find, delicate genuine Antique laces. The dress and bonnet are embellished with gorgeous ribbon work flowers and leaves by Mary Lambeth, the Queen of Reproduction doll costume design with over 25 years experience in creating unique doll costumes.

The undergarments are 100% cotton bloomers and half slip with hand knitted silk/rayon socks and silk taffeta shoes in the French style.

This doll stands over 22 inches tall and 25 inches with bonnet included.
