Presenting.. French Bébé Antique Reproduction doll originally made by Emile-Louis Jumeau circa 1886 to 1889
This doll was painted in October of 2012
Poured in "Lady White" porcelain and with many layers of China paint meticulously applied and firings in between each layer
The skin tone is very lovely and pale and with eye shadow
She wears earrings and matching necklace of beautiful Sapphire AB color and clear genuine Swarovski Crystal beads
This doll features the ultimate in solid glass French paperweight eyes by Hand Glass Craft of England in gorgeous light blue color
She features fine Mohair wig in rich brown color with center part, bangs and soft curls, designed and custom made for Emily Hart dolls.. Please note the wig photographs darker than it really is.
Her body is Authentic Jumeau reproduction in composition by Dick Grube
She wears an extraordinary ONE OF A KIND costume made of pure silk taffeta fabric in creamy off-white color accented with exquisite Antique laces, and hand crocheted buttons in both front and back. Seams on the dress are made with piping and tiny circles of gathered net surround each hand crocheted button on the front. The lower dress front features a lovely Vintage embroidered sheer fabric piece, embellished with a self-fabric bow.
The back of the dress buttons with thread loops and features an elaborate back design with layers of lace edged ruffles and another big self-fabric bow. Over the dress is a separate short velvet jacket in soft olive brown color with two kinds of metallic trims and lovely gold tone filigree ball beads.
Vintage metallic trim edges the wired bonnet beautifully made with a combination of the taffeta and velvet fabrics and decorated with pink and burgundy paper flowers and a fabulous Vintage Ostrich feather.
Dress, bonnet and jacket are fully lined in fine cotton batiste.
The undergarments consist of embroidered cotton batiste bloomers and half slip, trimmed in 100% cotton laces and tiny pure silk bows.
Hand knitted silk/rayon socks and French style finest genuine leather shoes.
This doll stands 21 inches and 24.5 inches with bonnet.
