Pintel & Godchaux

Emily Hart, Grandmaster of Dollmaking earns her living exclusively through creating amazing ONE OF A KIND porcelain dolls.

Presenting here:

Extremely Rare French Bébé Reproduction porcelain doll, marked P 10 G

This was the doll for which Pintel & Godchaux was best known, called Le Bébé Charmant, was made from 1889 to 1899 in France

This lovely head with flawless painting was done in June of 2002 but kept aside and not made into a finished doll until June of 2013

Poured in finest white porcelain with many layers of China paint applied meticulously with up to 6 firings in between, she features a slightly darker skin tone than many of the French dolls.

This is one of the hardest French dolls to paint with very long close together eyelashes. She has enormous eyes, giving her a very unique look among French Bébés

Extra Fine Painting

Very finest solid glass French Paperweight eyes in maroon-brown color with fantastic threading, these are truly the ultimate in reproduction French eyes by G. Schoepher. PLEASE NOTE: THESE EYES ARE GORGEOUS BUT THE THREADING DOESN’T SHOW UP WELL IN THE PHOTOS.

She comes dressed in a sumptuous ONE OF A KIND costume by Mary Lambeth.

This lovely dress with matching ruched bonnet is made from Vintage satin fabric in a pale peach tone and embellished with wonderful Genuine Antique laces, and hand made ribbon flowers, vines and leaves. A lace bow adorns the back of the dress and lovely big ribbon bow accentuates the back of the bonnet brim.

Undergarments are bloomers and half slip of 100% cotton with hand knitted socks and silk taffeta shoes in the French style with silk ribbon rosettes.

This doll stands 17.5 inches tall and 20.25 inches with the bonnet on.
