Extremely Rare French Bebe Reproduction porcelain doll, marked 5 H
This extraordinary beauty remained a mystery for many years. But in 1989 The French doll Expert Francoise Theimer unveiled her history. Her creator was Aristiede Marcellin Halopeau. The Halopeau heads were introduced in the year 1882 and manufactured by the Frayon firm of Montreuil. These dolls were only produced until 1889 therefore very few of the Antique dolls can be found today.
Painted in 2009 This is a very fine doll (the head has been in a drawer for nearly three years, so this has not been show before)
Poured in finest "Magnolia White" porcelain with many layers of China paint meticulously applied with up to 6 firings in between

Body is a French Bebe reproduction body by Jim Vickerman, finest bodymaker.
She wears the most beautiful ONE OF A KIND pure silk taffeta dress in pale peach color, artistically adorned with fabulous Antique laces, and the wonderful handmade ribbon flowers of Mary Lambeth. The matching bonnet features exquisite very delicate lace ruffle, big silk satin bow and more flowers.
The undergarments are cotton bloomers and half slip.
Her socks are hand knitted silk/rayon and she wears matching shoes to the outfit.
This doll stands 15 inches (38 cm) tall and 17.5 inches (44 cm) including the bonnet.
